Daniel In The Lions' Den Milwaukee Theatre reviews
Halestorm Hits Youngstown Wreaking Awesome
Halestorm delivered a fantastic performance alongside Three Doors Down in town. The audio track required some minor adjustments, but overall, it met all my expectations. Lizzy's powerful voice was notably absent of the typical electronic filtering found in many artists, giving off a live CD vibe. The lead-in to Familiar Taste of Poison was a highlight, as was the rendition of Here's to Us. The Glee abomination People Play was a disappointment. My daughter's first live concert experience left her spellbound, and I wish to express my gratitude to Halestorm in this review.
Three Doors Down provided a delightful experience, with their live performance enhancing the goodness found on their albums. Citizen Soldier was a pleasant surprise among the other familiar rock tunes. Unfortunately, we missed Daniel In The Lions' Den due to our early departure to beat the construction traffic on our 3-hour journey home.
Regarding the Covelli Center, parking fees were exorbitant at $20, comparable to a full day in Chicago. Opting to park a couple of blocks away at a meter behind the post office allowed us to save money for refreshments, a lesson learned for future events in Columbus, Cincinnati, or Cleveland.
